Founded in 2007, TLC Home Inspections, PLLC is a family-owned firm committed to serving Texas Hill Country, including Austin, Marble Falls, San Antonio, Georgetown, and Round Rock with professional home inspection services.

Owners Nick and Laina Moomaw, and the entire team at TLC, enjoy giving back to their community. Every October, the inspectors wear pink and the company donates a portion of its proceeds to a breast cancer charity. They participate in other charitable activities throughout the year.

TLC also is part of My Inspector Donates, an initiative involving a group of inspectors joining forces to collectively donate $1 million to nonprofits.

The youngest Moomaw family members, Emily, Reese, and Addie, are never far away and often lend their creative expertise after school by helping out with marketing efforts, such as delivering Popsicles to local Realtors.

He is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, earned a Master’s Degree at SMU, and, after 45 years, is still a pastor. Laina Moomaw

Laina Moomaw, Office Manager

Laina grew up in South Texas and attended college at what was formerly known as Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, where she met her husband Nick. Eventually, she and Nick moved to Houston where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston. She began her employment in human resources with a Fortune 500 company, working her way up to become the HR Generalist of an oil and gas company that afforded her the ability to travel across the USA and Canada representing and recruiting for them. While she loved the opportunities to travel, her greatest joy was (and is) being the mother of 3 daughters.

When the opportunity arose to move out of Houston and back to the Hill Country and with her family, Laina jumped at the chance. Now she is able to enjoy time with her daughters every day, working with their passion: horses. She is active with her daughters in 4H and local horse shows. She is thrilled with the opportunities that owning her own business has provided for her daughters, such as learning about marketing, presenting to professionals, and operating a company. Professionally, Laina is an active member with the Women’s Council of Realtors where she has held various positions in her Chapter.

You can find Ida on the ball field almost every weekend somewhere in Texas. Because of her extensive family in Central Texas, she has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to referrals.
